DELNABO ESTATE LTD
Delnabo Estate
Self Catering Cottages in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

How To Find Us

Situated on the north eastern side of the Cairngorms National Park, Delnabo lies at the junction of the Water of Ailnack with the River Avon, about a mile to the east of Tomintoul.

Because of our remote rural location you will find it easiest to get around by car once you are here.

The airports at Inverness and Aberdeen provide a convenient way to travel to northern Scotland. Car hire facilities are available at both terminals.

Alternatively both Scotrail and GNER provide regular train services from London to Aviemore. Car hire is available from MacDonalds Self Drive close to the station in Aviemore.

Directions

Please note that not all Sat Navs will send you directly to your accommodation, the directions below may be helpful.

McLeod's Cottage and Delnabo Lodge

Here are the directions to reach the Cottage or Lodge from Tomintoul (the nearest village). The village has one main street. If entering the village on the A939, drive along the main street, passing the main square and then a shop called the Whisky Castle and Highland Market (on the left). Keep going for another 100m or so and you will come to a junction. At the junction, turn right along Delnabo Road (there is a signpost for Delnabo). Follow this road. It winds its way past fields and then loops to the left, going downhill to a cottage. At this Cottage, ignore the left turning and stay on the road, which goes downhill. You will get to a bridge. Cross this bridge and instead of staying on the road (which loops left), go straight on, through the open gates (and a sign which says Delnabo). You will then drive along a tree-lined drive with fields on either side.

If you are going to the Lodge you will then see the gate and Lodge slightly to the left. If you are going to McLeod's Cottage keep going straight - you will pass a large shed on the right and the entrance to Delnabo Lodge on the left. About 20m further on, you will come to a turning on the left (which leads to a collection of buildings) and a track to the right (which leads to a gate). Ignore these and keep going another 50m - you will pass some dog kennels on your right and the gamekeepers cottage on your left. You will then see McLeod's straight in front of you. There is space to park next to it.
